Gina Carroll

"To say I know and love the area is an understatement. After seeing a bit of the world, to me this is by far one of the most beautiful and serene places I have been. All four seasons have their own personality and charm. I am blessed to live and work here." -Gina

Gina's formative years from age 8 to 18 are filled with memories of spring flowers, summer river trips, fall leaves changing color and the chill of cold toes in ski boots. She grew up hiking the trails and skiing the slopes of the Wintergreen Ski Resort as well as spending her teenage summers lifeguarding at Monacan Lake in the Stoney Creek valley.

After graduating from Western Albemarle high school in nearby Crozet, VA she spread her wings and earned a degree in Film and Video from Full Sail University in Florida. Shortly thereafter, she relocated and worked in the production side of making feature films in Los Angeles, CA. After years of the fast paced city life and seeing much of the world, she yearned to get close to her roots and moved back to the Wintergreen area. Being an artist and avid animal lover, she was drawn back to the majestic scenery and nature that this area encompases.

Speaking of nature, it seemed only natural that Gina join the Wintergreen Real Estate Company (WREC) team. She is a third generation Real Estate Professional and the third member of her immediate family to work at WREC. Her grandfather was in the resort development business for more than 30 years. Her father, Richard Carroll, is a partner broker at WREC and her brother Cameron has worked with the company for over a decade. Gina has more than her lifetime of experience under her belt.

In her spare time she enjoys sculpting local soapstone at her home studio, dining and socializing in nearby downtown Charlottesville, VA (where she has an outdoor stone sculpture on permanent display) and occasionally relaxing at one of the area’s many wineries. She still hikes the trails of the Blue Ridge, only now she is accompanied by her dogs (and only wishes that her cats liked to hike too).

"The family business of Real Estate is in my blood. I enjoy the work, I enjoy the people and especially love it when I can help them find the place of their dreams. The artist in me sees the potential for beauty in any home and appreciates the craftsmanship of the architecture and construction. Loving what I do is a privilege."
