Mountain Biking at Wintergreen
Wintergreen has an elaborate network of single track trails throught a forested landscape with many small tight loops of varying difficulty. The trails lie between two ski slopes on Devils |Knob and Black Rock mountains. Ski trail access roads are also available for biking.
The Terrain Park is the trail head for "Loggers Alley", "one of the top five downhills in the state of Virginia" according to the Washington Post. Loggers Alley has a twelve-mile 3000ft vertical drop from Devils Knob at the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains to Stoney Creek in the Rockfish Valley below. This trail has it all: a fast single track, steep descents, panoramic views, creek crossings, log crossings, and best of all a shuttle service back to the top.
