There are six restaurants within the Wintergreen Resort for you to enjoy while staying in your vacation home. The restaurants include the Devils Grill at the Devils Knob Golf Clubhouse, the Coppermine for elegant dining in the Black Rock Village and the Verandah in Stoney Creek. The Edge and Pryor’s Porch both offer more casual fare. Catering and Conference Services also offer food services as does the Black Rock Market.

When staying in or purchasing vacation mountain homes in Virginia, guests can play on one of 19 manicured clay courts in the two planned communities as well as three new Deco Turk indoor courts for all weather play.

Experts from the award-winning Wintergreen Nature Foundation at the Wintergreen Resort provide year round environmental education and activities for adults and children including a wide variety of guided hikes, lectures, field trips and symposia. Additionally, the Foundation helps property owners preserve natural flora and species on their Blue Ridge property through education, landscape assistance and the cultivation and preservation of local species.

Wintergreen Resort’s Nature Foundation has 40 miles of hiking rails through the private nature areas maintained by the Foundation. Trillium House, the new home of the Nature Foundation, is an environmental education and research center in the heart of the community. Rodes Farm Stables at Stoney Creek offers a complete equestrian center for those who own or are visiting vacation homes in Virginia at Wintergreen Resort. There are trails through the nature areas and rings for lessons, escorted rides, and trail rides as well as pony rides for the kids.

There are paved bike trails throughout Blue Ridge property in Stoney Creek. The Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School operates a full service Cannondale bike center with rentals, mountain bike lessons, and more than 116 miles of trails on the mountain for vacation home guests and owners.

The Wintergarden spa is a full-service day spa, with an indoor pool, hot tubs, aerobics, a weight lifting and fitness area, steam rooms, a sauna, and luxurious personal pampering including messages and cosmetology. The Wintergarden at the Wintergreen Resort also has aerobics, water aerobics, jazzercise, and Yoga programs as well as personal trainers to assist with your personal goals.

The Performing Arts programs at Wintergreen Resort offer the richest cultural experience in the Blue Ridge. The Wintergreen Resort provides cultural events throughout the year, culminating in the Summer Music Festival. During the Summery Music Festival, there is an orchestra in residence for several weeks at the Evans Center on the grounds of the Mountain Inn.

The Wintergreen Conference Center provides meeting services including a 40,000 square conference center for meetings and function space to serve residents and business meeting planners.

Wintergreen Resort offers activities for children of resident families and guests in the Blue Ridge Mountain region. Kids in Action (ages 2 ½ - 12); Kids Night Out ages (6-12); Junior Explorers (ages 9-14); and Teen Adventure Camp (ages 13-17) are all award winning programs. Baby sitting services are also available.

Fishing is available at Lake Monocan and many of the other smaller lakes within Wintergreen Resort. Stoney Creek is a stocked and maintained trout stream for residents’ catch and release fly fishing.
