As you are aware, we are facing an unprecedented event. In light of recent developments surrounding the spread of COVID-19, Wintergreen is mostly closed and will be operating on minimal schedules with limited support in the coming weeks.
We join many resort communities throughout the nation who have closed in the interest of the health of their owners and guests. We understand our clients have recreation and housing needs, but the health and well-being of our staff, administrators, agents, guests, clients, friends, families, and our community will remain our top priority. The mountain is not totally closed to guests and owners but most of the facilities are closed, like the Spa, restaurants, tennis, pools, and others. There is a current, complete list on the resort website at https://www.wintergreenresort.com/covid-19/
We are implementing the following precautions to address the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus.
We are adhering to all CDC protocols and guidelines, and actively assessing risks in real-time to ensure the safety of our community. We are committed to keeping our spaces and belongings clean and sanitized. We will keep our doors open to guests and owners for the time being and we’ll let you know if this changes. The situation is ever-changing and quite fluid. As we obtain more information, we will adjust our plan as necessary and keep you informed. You may also hear from the resort and the WPOA, but we wanted to make sure all our owners know what is happening as soon as possible.
So far, we do not have the Corona Virus at Wintergreen.
We avoid large gatherings. We canceled open houses and encourage creative, efficient ways of showing homes during this crisis. We encourage the use of booties, plastic gloves, soap, wipes and hand sanitizers in common areas and at houses and condos. We regularly sanitize all workstations, shared spaces and surfaces.
Our agents and staff will address your real estate needs while ensuring their safety and yours.
We have moved our business online, with virtual meetings, video tours, FaceTime/Skype showings if needed, hands-free house showing registration, digital signatures, and other online transaction management systems. We understand that there are many COVID-19 concerns, but we assure you that we will protect our clients, agents, staff, renters and owners and prevent the spread of disease, while doing our best to continue helping clients and owners buy, sell or lease homes and condos and town homes. Our Mountain and Valley offices are closed for the time being. We encourage you to communitcate with us by phone, texts, and email> We will respond as quickly as we can.
We encourage you to call us if you need information or want to set up a meeting or conference. Call 434 361-0500. You can also visit our resort website (www.wintergreenresort.com) for resort information and the real estate website (www.wintergreenrealestate.com) for office and agent contact information.
We encourage our agents to show homes by appointment only, but individual agents and our sellers will make that decision for now.
We will not be holding any open houses until the ban is lifted.
Clients touring a home or condo should not touch any surface, including knobs, faucets, cabinets, etc. while viewing the home. Prior to entering, they should clean their hands and exercise social distancing while touring the home. We will require that clients register prior to entering, in order to track and document attendance if a potential question or issue should arise following the tour. If anyone has recently traveled outside the US, is not feeling well, or has had a fever in the past forty-eight hours, please do not visit us or properties for sale.
Thank you for your understanding. On a bright note, as we exit the ski season, we are still seeing strong interest in real estate. Low interest rates are a financial positive. Please enjoy our early spring and help us protect each other in these unprecedented times. We pray that you all stay well and healthy, and appreciate your patience, trust, and good faith as we navigate this situation.
